Fluconix 340 – Nitroxynil treats mature and immature liver fluke in cattle and sheep. Its also effective against Haemonchus Contortus and Placei in both species(barbers pole). Dosage in cattle is 1.5 ml/50 kg under the skin and 60 days withdrawal. In sheep 0.25 ml/10 kg under the skin and 49 days withdrawal.
A fantastic weapon in the control of fluke but be very careful with dose rates in sheep as over dosage in the presence of significant liver fluke burdens can kill a lot of sheep. We recommend faecal sampling before use and will advise a yearly fluke control strategy for your herd/flock.
